hi all

just after xmas i stumbled on the fairbairn article on the cqb services website and thoroughly enjoyed the depth and quality of research; many thanks Phil

i work in education but i've had an interest in martial arts since the mid-70s. i did judo as a kid, but now running a small bujinkan school in canberra. i got interested in the legacy of fairbairn and applegate after getting hassled in the street in about '82 and finding i didn't have much to work with. for a while then i corresponded with Rex Applegate who was always gracious in answering my naive questions!

i'm particularly interested in the fairbairn/applegate approach to using the knife in combat (hence the buzz when i found the article mentioned above and the material covered in this forum)

very glad to have found this resource and i'm looking forward to some to and fro in this forum

ooroo for now

Welcome to the forum.
Glad you found the website articles interesting. Checkout the seminar reviews of the Combative Knife Programs too, I think they'll be very much to your liking.
