| I'd heard rumours, sad to have Pete's death confirmed. We worked together quite a bit:   .... and Pete was on the training team of our first Bodyguard courses:  A brief bio:- After completing national service, Pete Scholey immediately signed up for the regular Army. He served two yeas with the Royal Army Service Corps, three years with the Royal Regiment of Artillery, then three years in the Parachute Regiment before volunteering for 22 SAS in 1963. There he served 23 years in campaigns in Aden, Borneo, Oman and Northern Ireland. He served mainly in the Free Fall Troop, and was a team medic. | Pete attended the funeral of a colleague and instead of the traditional "Who Dares Wins" wreaths, Pete placed a floral Bergan, because, as he put it," that is the true symbol of an SAS soldier. We carried that pack up hill and down dale, all over the world". So, this is to remember Pete:  | |
