Dear All,
For the past couple of years, the Commando D Living History Group has been honoured to join with WW2 and serving Commando and special forces veterans at Spean Bridge and Fort William for Remembrance weekend.
The very least we can do is give something back to benefit those who gave their all and continue to inspire us today.
During these weekends, we have presented close combat demonstrations for veterans and families as well as organise sponsored speed marches to raise funds for the Commando Veterans Association.
This year, we embark on Exercise Nevis Assault, which shall see four Commando D members climb Britain's highest peak, Ben Nevis, in aid of the CVA. We shall tackle all 4,406ft in full wartime uniforms and equipment. 30ft of sisal rope shall also be carried for abseiling some sections on the return journey to add to the authentic training experience.
The climb shall take place on Saturday 13th November and all funds raised shall go directly to the Commando Veterans Association.
This year marks 70 years since the forming of the original British Commandos, and we ask for your generosity in support and sponsorship towards a very worthy and honourable cause.
You can contribute any amount towards this by sending funds via Paypal directly to the e-mail address –
