| Over 35 enthusiasts gathered at John Skillen's superb training facility in Loughborough for the latest combatives training event.  We started with a PowerPoint overview of Counter-grappling concepts, then warmed up with Si,before going into some specific areas of combatives conditioning. Next was the main topic of the day, the applied counter-grapling work. This included a module by Si Squires on dealing with takedowns, and cconfronting the skilled assailant. After a Q&A session we held a book signing, then adjourned to a local Chinese buffet for the traditional post training scoff.  [John and Den at the book signng]Great group of guys, and a very enjoyable day. More photos and details to follow.

| Arghh i missed this, I'm gutted. Really wanted to come along to this one.
By the way Den i just finished reading your book and i must say the most interesting book I've read in ages, brilliant .

| Sorry to have missed the session - I was in no fit state to drive let alone train yesterday. I'm going to have to visit Liverpool at some point soon. | |

| Thanks Den Si and all the guy that come down thanks for taking time to come down and tech myself and the others.
It was a great days training (and the food after lol).
I've come away with alot of good stuff. Which i know myself rob and john will do (TONUPS & the fruit and veg ideas.)
